Southwestern College Professional Studies offers 1.5 semester college credit classes to teach the bodies of knowledge necessary for workplace success and APICS certification. Earned credits may be used as core course substitutions for the production management major or as electives in other degree programs. Additional courses will be scheduled as demand is indicated. A series of courses will be taught by practicing professionals in the field.

 
*Introduction to Materials Management: 1/8/03-2/12/03 Wednesdays 6-10pm
Detailed Scheduling and Planning: 1/9/03-1/30/03 Thursdays 6-10pm
Basics of Supply Chain: 2/19/03-3/12/03 Wednesdays 6-10pm
Execution and Control of Operations: 2/20/03– 3/13/03 Thursdays 6-10pm
Master Planning of Resources: 4/02/03-4/23/03 Wednesdays 6-10pm
Strategic Management of Resources: 4/03/03-4/24/03 Thursdays 6-10pm

Each course will meet four hours per week for four weeks. The costs for each course are $330.00 plus study materials. Southwestern College cooperates with all industry reimbursement and direct billing systems. There will be substantial out-of-class study time required. The courses are designed for those currently working in the field. Tuition is subject to change. *An Introduction to Materials Management course meets four hours per week for six weeks.
