The June Professional Development Meeting is SPECIAL, SPECIAL, SPECIAL.  We have an outstanding international speaker, Ms. Rhonda Lummus, CFPIM, CIRM, presenting a excellent topic: Creating Flexible Supply Chains.  That night is our Top Management Night so please invite your boss or supervisor to attend; we want to thank each and everyone of them for their continued support.  If you prefer that the invitation come from me, please let me know by June 3.  We will try out a new location {Bester Brown Lodge} and will have a special dinner price of ten dollars {$10.00}.  We will present service pins and recognize our Member of the Year and Company of the Year.   We will announce the results of using an electronic ballot for electing officers for the first time and will install the chapter officers for next year {fiscal year starts July 1}.  Look forward to seeing you there.

This year, the 40^th Anniversary of the Wichita Chapter, has been a great year in large part to the many volunteers and sponsors.   First let me THANK YOU!, the members for your continued interest and dedication to APICS for "Lifelong Learning for Lifetime Success" --- you are the reason we do what we do.   Also I, as I'm sure you do, sincerely appreciate the many volunteer hours by present and recent board members, which enables this chapter to go forward.  We appreciate the continued educational support of our fine instructors and their ongoing efforts to spread the APICS curriculum.   We acknowledge the first launch of our APICS Fundamentals at Precision Pattern Inc. via Kate Keltz, CPIM and a Past-president --- please watch for announcements soon on forthcoming Fundamental classes.  Larry Whitman, our webmaster since Jan. 1, is doing a great job. Our former web service, Garrett Graphics, did a wonderful job for the chapter the preceding 3 years.  Finally, we would be unable to provide the website and electronic newsletters without our fine sponsors:  ACCESS GROUP, LLC. {dan@accessgroupllc.com }and SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE { sdrane@sckans.edu }.  Please remember to thank all these who help make our chapter better at your earliest convenience.

Our student chapter affiliate has been very helpful in providing articles for the newsletters and other assistance.  Please take the opportunity to review some of their excellent papers and let them know.

The APICS annual conference is in Las Vegas this year (more details are in this newsletter). there will be many students serving as scholars this year and APICS wants members to mentor them. Find out details about this here.
