I just wanted to use this month’s column to advise you of a couple of things available or worth a few words.

First as a member of APICS, you have on-line-access to past issues of the P & IM Journal.  So what you say, you get them every month.  How about the ability to sort by subject for all journals over the last three years?  No need to look through past issues. 

Just sort by subject or view a full list of articles.

We have another very good presentation scheduled this month as Maryanne Ross, CFPIM,CIRM will be presenting on “Inventory Accuracy-The Elusive Butterfly.  This presentation was presented at the 2003 APICS International Conference.  There is more information on the speaker and topic for the PDM and seminar in this newsletter.

The Wichita Chapter needs your help!!!   The Wichita Chapter is committed to expand its communication channels throughout local businesses.  One manner in which we can do this is through Company Coordinators.  A Company Coordinator is a person dedicated to APICS’ professional and educational philosophies who represents APICS and the needs of the employees within his or her company.

The Company Coordinator:

·        Promotes APICS membership, products, and services within the company.

·        Provides feedback to the chapter board regarding the companies perception of the chapter’s performance.

·        Provides feedback to the chapter board regarding the companies educational  needs.

·        Helps promote attendance at Professional Dinner Meetings (PDM’s) and seminars.

·        Helps to keep corporate memberships current.
