As we move into the holidays and the New Year, remember to encourage yourself and others to be a builder. The Wichita Chapter would like to extend their sympathies to Ione Dykstra, CPIM, on the loss of her husband, John ,on October 23rd. Ione is well known for her work with APICS at all levels of the organization. Membership does have its privileges at APICS. Here are some of the many benefits that our members receive: FREE APICS Dictionary, FREE copy of APICS 2002 Salary Survey (www.apics.org/freesurvey), FREE conference proceedings, FREE employment search, FREE listing of your company’s job openings at www.apics-wichita.com, access to job listings at www.APICS.org and membership extensions in the event of unemployment. All of these are free. I want to call your attention to some activities that are coming up in the Wichita Chapter. On December 14th our PDM will feature Debbie Leiker talking on RFID. On January 11th, our PDM will feature Larry English talking on Informational Quality (Data Quality). You must call reservations into Roger Klocke by January 6th, 2005. If you make a New Year’s toast, let it be for a prosperous and peace-filled new year. Congratulations to Kimberly Dewald and our APICS chapter in receiving the Fit to Print award. We were the only chapter from Region 5 to receive this award. Sincerely, | |
