An often-overlooked supply chain tool is forging the relationship between sales and marketing and manufacturing. Regardless of the planning, forecasting, or scheduling system, the need for a trusting, working relationship between cross-functional team members will never diminish. This presentation will offer a planner’s insight on creating the ideal working relationship between sales and marketing and manufacturing through job shadowing and team building principles.

 Speaker: Patty Thoreson has been employed with 3M Company in Brookings, SD for twenty-seven years. She has been involved in Supply Chain for the last seven years and is currently a Supply Chain Analyst in the Medical Division. She is APICS certified (CPIM). Patty enjoys spending her free time fishing, hunting and enjoying the outdoors with her husband.

Kevin Maiers has been employed with 3M Company in Brookings, SD for 16 years. The first ten years of production experience provided a unique perspective into supply chain planning. Kevin enjoys operating a wedding photography business and recently completed a MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
