February MEETING
Enterprise Lean Six Sigma
Dave Fitzpatrick |
 |
 |

NEW PDM AGENDA FORMAT |
Main presentation:
Enterprise Lean Six Sigma
Powerpoint Presentation Available Here!
Lean transformations have traditionally been
in conflict with the deployment of information technology solutions.
Deloitte’s Enterprise Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) methodology provides a
systematic process for integrating the deployment of lean business solutions
with the development and deployment of supporting technology platforms. With
specific emphasis on Oracle applications, Deloitte has successfully
demonstrated this capability in large, multi-national clients. This
presentation covers the basic elements of the ELSS approach, the linkages to
IT requirements definition and configuration, and the value proposition from
concurrent deployment of lean / flow manufacturing and enabling technology.
Speaker:
Dave Fitzpatrick
is a Partner with Deloitte Consulting and leader of their Operations
Excellence practice. He has 26 years of experience in operations and
engineering in high technology businesses, including aerospace. Dave began
his career at Boeing where he worked in both the commercial and defense

manufacturing engineering leader on the 777 before moving over to strategy
and international sales positions for the commercial division. He has
extensive international experience focused on global operations and supply
chain development and performance improvement. At Deloitte, Dave founded the
firm's Lean and Six Sigma practice. He led the development of Deloitte's
unique enterprise-level approach to Lean and its deployment across a wide
range of industries and product types. In addition, he has been instrumental
in linking Lean and Six Sigma practices with appropriate engineering and
business information technologies. Dave is a graduate of MIT's Sloan School,
