Presentation topic

Today’s customers are expecting you, as their supplier, to provide them with products and services faster, cheaper and with better quality than your competitors.  The stakes are high if you want to stay in business.  Since managing an integrated supply chain is recognized by most experts as the key to an organization’s success in the 2000’s, it is no surprise that companies are looking for (and rewarding) employees who can provide leadership in making those critical supply chains function efficiently.  Effective employees understand that no person in the supply chain can succeed unless all succeed.  Corporate and personal success comes from crafting positive working relationships and win-win agreements with those in your supply chain who you rely on as well as those who rely on you.  Interestingly enough, all the lessons we learn from observing employees who are successful in managing their supply chain are mirrored in observing Dorothy’s experience in Oz.

This interactive workshop will provide participants an opportunity to explore their role in the supply chain as they gain knowledge, confidence and a new understanding of their role as the leader who can make positive changes happen.  We will explore the skills, attitudes and actions of leadership as presented to us in Oz and we highlight the lessons learned along the “yellow brick road”.

Because supply chain leadership involves all functions within organizations, this 8-hour workshop will prove helpful to persons at every level and every job description. All in the organization are important to the success of the business and all will benefit from improving their knowledge and skills as leaders.

This fast-paced, interactive workshop will help you

  • Learn a framework for understanding supply chains in a fresh, personal way

  • Understand what we’ve gained from 21st century technology, what we’ve lost and what we need to hang on to

  • Identify critical links in your own “personal” supply chain and analyze the impact each has on the others

  • Pinpoint “weak links” that keep your supply chain from being efficient

  • “If I only had a brain” – Understand the importance of setting strategies and tactics using an effective application of current knowledge and information

  • “If I only had a heart” – Learn the tools for overcoming obstacles using the power of relationships and teamwork

  • “If I only had courage” – Be motivated to take charge - take chances - make choices – and lead changes

  • Learn how to avoid the mistakes on the “do not” list

  • Discover the “essential” lessons learned in Oz that can make your supply chain effective and your career successful.
