Supplier Relationship
Management, or SRM, is how an enterprise manages their interactions with
fellow companies that supply them with their specific goods and services.
Optimizing Supplier
Relationships is a process of continuous improvement with the goal of
ensuring all supplier interactions support, and contribute to, the
strategies and goals of the enterprise.
This presentation describes
one process of improving supplier community value to, and alignment with,
organizational goals through relationship management and measurement. It
offers suggestions for business partner selection and non-traditional
measurements of performance, and focuses on collaborative processes that
improve supply chain value. And finally, discusses supplier recognition
techniques that promote continuous improvement.
