Triumph Aerospace Systems

Triumph Aerospace Systems – Wichita (formerly Lee Aerospace) designs and manufactures aircraft windows, windshields, pilot/co-pilot control wheels, sun visor assemblies, wing spars, leading edge sheet metal assemblies, and autoclave cured composite parts for the most respected aircraft manufacturers in the industry. James E. Lee founded Lee Aerospace, Inc. in 1989 and the company was privately held until it was incorporated with Triumph Group in 1999. In 2006, Lee Aerospace officially changed its name to Triumph Aerospace Systems-Wichita. Triumph Aerospace Systems – Wichita is headquartered in a modern office and manufacturing facility in Wichita, Kansas, the largest city in the state and widely known as the “Air Capital” of the world. Since the beginning of the aviation industry, Wichita has been a principal producer of general and commercial aircraft.

Quality Standards

Triumph Aerospace Systems – Wichita’s Quality Management System complies with Part 21 and Part 121 FAA Regulations, EASA Part 145, Joint Aviation Regulations (JARs), and is certified to ISO 9001 and AS9100 Rev. B:2004 quality standards. An FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) is on staff to issue original airworthiness certificates and export certificates of airworthiness.

Aftermarket Windows

In addition to supplying OEM aircraft windows to the finest aircraft manufacturers in the industry, Triumph Aerospace Systems – Wichita holds Parts Manufacturing Approvals (PMA) for a wide range of aircraft types and models. All Triumph windows comply with original aircraft manufacturer’s specifications. The company has the capability of designing, developing, testing, and manufacturing virtually any size configuration of single-ply or multi-ply flat, curved or compound contoured aircraft window.

Repair Station

Triumph Aerospace Systems – Wichita operates a full service aircraft window FAA/EASA Repair Station (FAA CRS # YLIR863L) staffed by the best A&P mechanics and FAA certified window repairmen in the industry. These technicians are available to provide top-quality transparency services ranging from scheduled inspection; pre-buy inspection; and windshield, window, and lens repair and replacement.
