About Dick Ling: CONTINUED...
During the 1980's, Dick taught top management classes and personally developed classes in Sales and Operations Planning, Demand Management and Master Scheduling in the United States and abroad as an Oliver Wight Associate.

Dick is the co-author of the book, Orchestrating Success, which shows managers how to build successful companies through effective Sales and Operations Planning. The book, which has been widely read and praised, emphasis the importance of communication in companies among managers who must understand each other and work together if their companies are to succeed.

As a recognized authority and pioneer in the field of Sales and Operations Planning, Dick has developed manufacturing planning systems that work and educated managers to better understand these systems. As a result, he is in great demand as an educator and consultant in the United States and abroad.

We are lucky to have Dick Ling in Wichita for two days, don't miss him!

On Wednesday, April 12th, Dick Ling will be conducted an APICS seminar titled "Integrating Your Business Planning Process with Sales and Operations Planning."

This seminar will focus on the processes of Sales and Operations Planning and describe how it can improve the performance of your company. Dick focuses his consulting and education company on S&OP and has helped dozens of companies implement this process successfully.

Seminar Outline:

  1. What is Sales & Operations Planning?
  2. The elements in the process.
  3. How can it benefit your company?
  4. How to implement S&OP.
  5. How to operate S&OP.

The seminar will be held at the Hotel at Oldtowne Conference Center, which is located at 210 N. Mosley in old downtown Wichita. Registration is at 7:45 am. Snacks and lunch will be provided. The seminar is an all day seminar. Registration deadline is April 1st.

This will be an interactive dinner meeting where the attendees will be asked to share their MRP/ERP system implementation experiences and ask questions of our speaker, Richard Ling. So come prepared for a fun and informative evening.

About Dick Ling:
Richard C. Ling, president of Richard C. Ling Inc., founded his manufacturing consulting and education company in 1979 in order to help companies improve their operations through better informed managers and more effective planning systems.

For over 30 years, Dick Ling has been developing the computer based company wide management systems manufacturers must implement to remain competitive and profitable.

In the early 1960's, Dick was a pioneer in the development of MRP systems while at IBM. In 1974 at Arista Information Systems, he developed the first Master Production Scheduling software. In the mid 1980's, he helped develop the Sales and Operations Planning and Demand management concepts.
