The intent is to start on a small scale and implement a newsletter exchange. Such a program would give our chapter new and creative ideas on how to better run our preexisting program. In turn we would also be helping others to see what we've been up to and give them an opportunity to adopt our methods.

The next level would be to utilize the Region meeting and International conventions as common meeting grounds. Through our coordination with the other chapters we plan to have at least one evening during these events dedicated to a student information exchange and open discussion. During this time we will hopefully share what works and what doesn't work. It is believed that this would also enhance the student participation at the Region and International events.

The student chapter is very supportive of the concept. Twelve volunteers from the student chapter have been identified to help get the project rolling. It will require some extensive networking to find and locate willing chapters. It is unknown at this time just how many student chapters exist out there and how many will be willing to participate in such an adventure. Several key persons from the APICS Internet site have already been identified as starting blocks, it is just a matter of time before the interested chapters start surfacing.
