| Question: Where can I find information to help me improve quality, processes and productivity in a sheetmetal shop?
Answer: The APICS organization has many resources for improving productivity in a manufacturing environment. Here are some recommendations: |

| 1) Order a catalog or membership packet from the national office. It's very informative whether you plan to become a member or not. | 2) Subscribe to your local chapter newsletter to stay informed of monthly professional development meetings. It is a great place to network and learn what other companies are doing. |
| 3) Consider the full certification process. Read the certification bulletin that should be included if you order the membership packet mentioned above. There are periodic workshops you may attend (information is in the local newsletter) to prepare for certification tests as well as two local colleges that offer courses for credit; Wichita State University and Southwestern College. | |
| It's difficult to tell someone where to start, but getting involved in your local chapter is a good first step. |
