Student Chapter goes for the Gold By: Carla White, CPIM Master Scheduler, Certainteed Corporation
It was my pleasure to review the student chapters awards book for this year. They did a great job on their book. Society allows for the advisor the sign off that various tacks were completed, rather than the student's providing documentation. Well, our students did not take the easy way out. Everything was documented. I was particularly impressed with the professional newsletters they put together. Colored pictures and a newspaper layout. Over the years I have had the opportunity to look over a number of awards books from many different parent chapters and this book far exceeds a number of those books. Our students did an excellent job in the education area. They accumulated 145 point when they only needed a 100 for Gold. Since we are an educational organization I think this is a real positive. This group of students was in essence starting from scratch, as they had no returning officers. They deserve your congratulation.
