| There was a 10.6% survey response rate this year, 28 out of 264 surveys were submitted. Overall the respondents agree (50%) and strongly agree (43%) that APICS Chapter #71 is performing to meet our chapter mission. Several newer members responded, 18% declaring 0-1 years with the chapter, and a majority of 2-4 year members (36%) and many seasoned members with 10+ years (25%). Results indicated satisfaction with the monthly meetings as well as networking opportunities, polling 68% and 75% "often." Satisfaction with the educational support offered by the chapter was indicated with 43% very well and 18% exceptional responses. This is a good ranking considering only 21% of the responses indicated pursuing CPIM and 7% pursuing CIRM. An area of growing interest is in pursuing CPIM maintenance points (25%). Another area of good results is with the newsletter. A vote of 75% marked "the monthly newsletter provides accurate helpful information" often, followed by another 7% marking very frequently. An area of spread across the board was on chapter information attained from Board Members, Company Coordinators, and Chapter Website. Improved communication should be a goal of the entire membership next year. Great response to the Programs chair was also received. Some of the topics suggested include Inventory Reduction, E-Commerce, Capacity Planning, Lean/JIT Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, and Master Planning in MTO. The Wichita Board of Directors appreciates the 28 members who took the time to fill out the questionnaire and return it. Please keep in mind, our Chapter is only as strong as its members. The Board of Directors can perform better with your input. Be sure to get in touch with someone on the board if you have a concern that needs to be addressed. |
