| What a year! A lot of things have happened this year with APICS: The introduction of the new CPIM modules, the introduction of Fundamentals and ASCM online. This gives us a tremendous amount of educational offerings and changes all at once. To help the chapter better service the needs of the membership we are having an Educational Forum on Thursday, May 31, 2001, 3:00 PM at Southwestern College. If you are interested in helping to chart our Educational Future please plan on attending and let me know you'll be there by e-mailing me. | ![]() kate@hubsupply.com |
| Once again we welcome a new Board of Directors in July. Please help me with a big welcome to all of the new and returning Board members. These individuals volunteer their time to make sure that our chapter continues our excellent history of successful management and service to the members. Please support them in the upcoming year. If you are interested in serving in any capacity, i.e., committee member, task force, etc., then please let Steve Plaster (theplasters@prodigy.net) know. | |
| The most important thing of the year is to give a big THANK YOU to all of our current Board members and instructors. I thank them for a great year! Without all of their efforts we would not have had seven successful PDM's and two great plant tours, including a bus trip. We would not have been able to start the new curriculum with very few glitches. We would not have been able to continue the progress toward another Platinum award for the Passport program, and we would not have been able to support a nationally recognized student chapter program. THANK YOU ALL!
Have a great summer and we hope to see you all in September for our PDM launch with Teena Armstrong, who will be presenting the program that she will present at the International Conference in San Antonio. |
