| Spring Break is nearly upon us! Won't it be nice to have some warmer weather? Unfortunately, the monthly postcards announcing February's Professional Development Meeting were lost in the mail, so please accept our apologies. It is encouraging, though, to see the large amount of persons that looked on the website and attended the meeting. Overall, with both NAPM and APICS, we had 124 persons attend the PDM. Thanks to those that came. |

| There are a few new things that are happening this month. First, there is the membership survey update. All members should expect to receive via postal mail the members survey and membership directory. The survey is also available online to print, located on page seven of this newsletter. In the past we have received about 2% return on the surveys. Please take a moment and fill these out and send back to Ron Lunsford so that he can brag about getting the highest return of surveys, etc. Also, a moment to brag for Ron in that he has been asked to present his membership booklet for best practices at the International Conference in San Antonio in October. This is a great honor to be asked to submit so let's support him and get those surveys back. Expect the membership directory soon! Secondly, there is the new link in the newsletter section of the website. This link will connect to Roger's e-mail address so that you can register for the Professional Development Meeting online. This saves a phone call and Roger can get your name spelled correctly. Thanks to Teena Armstrong for a great idea! Also in the news is the Region Meeting in Hastings, NB April 26-28, 2001. This is a chapter management training session. If anyone would like to attend please contact me and we'll make arrangements. If anyone is interested in serving on the board next year, please contact Steve Plaster as soon as possible as he is in the process of filling these positions. We are discussing the Fundamentals courses for APICS. These are introductory courses to APICS for the beginner in the inventory/planning field. What are your ideas as to the best way to teach these courses? Let me know. Kate@hubsupply.com. |
