| How about trying some new things this spring? Margaret Christian has planned a bus tour to Eaton Corporation located in Hutchinson. This is to get us all on a bus. The chapter will provide dinner and beverages. What a great opportunity to better know your fellow members and have some fun in the process! We are also planning on joining NAPM for a golf outing in June. How do Planners vs. Buyers sound? Are we better at golf than they are? Look for information on this event in the next newsletter. |

Now comes the thinking part. I need to know what the members (that means you) would like to see in the way of education. Are the review courses serving your needs? Should they be longer? Shorter? Are the instructors able to answer your questions? There is a new program offered by APICS called Fundamentals. This is for someone that is fairly new to the field of resource management. What is the interest for a course like this? What format would you like it to be taught in? Are there companies that would be willing to sponsor workshops, etc.? Are the universities able to meet your needs? I would like to schedule an open forum discussion on this subject for all who can attend toward the end of May. Please jot down your ideas and let me know what you think (316) 265-9608, or you can email me at kate@hubsupply.com if you prefer. Also keep an eye on the May newsletter for the discussion time and place so that your ideas can be heard. Keep thinking, Kate |
