Providing integrated products and services-delivered reliability and for lower cost than the competition-is not an easy task. Thayer accomplishes this mission through:
. Strong leadership · Thayer's division presidents collectively possess over 75 years of aerospace industry experience.
. Leading edge machining, processing and inspection capabilities · 3-, 4- and 5-axis vertical and horizontal machining capabilities, featuring High Speed machine centers. Turning capabilities. Gear and spline capabilities. Strategic partner with a processing house (Air Capital Plating). Quality systems certified by all major OEMs. Boeing D1 9000 Rev A certified and currently incorporating AS9100 and D6-82479 Addendum 1.
. Sophisticated and visible information systems · Syteline ERP provides the heart of our infrastructure. Enterprise-wide software systems with barcode job tracking allow more efficient capacity scheduling and accurate, real-time status reports.
. Comprehensive programming and engineering skills · Twelve full time programmers utilizing the latest CAD/CAM software solutions. Thayer's systems enable fully associative and seamless digital solid model data sharing. They include: CATIA, UNIGRAPHICS, NCL (five seats), VERICUT, and MasterCAM.
. Expertise in project management · Successfully managing the manufacture of several large machining programs for airframe manufacturers.
. Focus on cost reduction · Practicing lean manufacturing techniques and aggressively using KAIZEN teams. Evaluating and re-engineering existing parts. Reviewing cost centers for synergistic savings.

These practices have earned Thayer Aerospace an enviable reputation among aerospace manufacturers. An excellent example of this is the Vought Door package awarded to Thayer Aerospace September 2000; a $130 million package to manufacture and kit assemblies for several pressurized doors on the 737 NG aircraft. Our customers include: Boeing Commercial, Boeing Military, Cessna, Lockheed, Northrup-Gruman, to name a few.

Thayer Aerospace is well positioned to achieve its vision of becoming the aerospace supplier of choice for integrated products and services.
