APICS George Heinrich
This month's presenter is George Heinrich, Ph.D., CFPIM, CQE, CQM of Southwestern College. Heinrich will be presenting information regarding the new certification program and also on the benefits of certification. This is an excellent opportunity to present younger employees in your organization to APICS and our certification program and to bring new members into the Chapter so that we can benefit from each other’s knowledge, opinions, and enthusiasm.

About The Speaker:
George Heinrich has over 46 years work experience, holding senior technical/management positions in the USAF, industry, and educational fields.

Heinrich is a Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management (CFPIM) and also a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Certified Quality Manager (CQM) for the American Society of Quality (ASQ). Heinrich holds a M.S. in Business, M.S. in Nuclear Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Engineering from Texas A&M. His dissertation work was cited in previous editions of Dr. Joseph Juran's Quality Control Handbook and several other technical publications.

Heinrich retired from Boeing in July of 1999 where he was a statistical quality consultant assisting teams implementing reliable methods and processes (RM&P). In addition to APICS, Heinrich is a member of ASQ, where he chairs the Education Committee.

He has been both an adjunct instructor and full-time faculty member at five different universities, teaching Production Management, a variety of quality courses, Information Systems, and System Management courses. He has also been a reviewer of technical books for numerous publishing companies.

In previous careers, Heinrich held positions in the American Nuclear Society and was National Vice President of Education for the Military Operations Research Society.
