| Our new board is up and running with a lot of new ideas and programs that we can all benefit from. Welcome to another year with APICS. This year appears to be very exciting with a lot of changes taking place. The curriculum change is the large event that has us all wondering how this all works. George Heinrich, Ph.D., CFPIM, CQE, CQM from Southwestern College will shed some light on it during our September 12th Professional Development Meeting (PDM). The introduction of Fundamentals will also come in this year and allow some basic education for those new to the field. Also at the September PDM we are going to be celebrating a very BIG event in the life of the Wichita chapter. We will be awarding the student chapter with a gold award in the passport program. |
Only 10 universities in the country got an award at all. Let's call the press - this is EXCITING! Come and join us in congratulating WSU on this award. In addition to the passport award, we will also be celebrating the Fogarty student paper contest winners. We know of at least one student who took first place at the Region level and will be going on to the national competition. We'll announce the winners at the PDM. Our new board is up and running with a lot of new ideas and programs that we can all benefit from. Please thank them for their time and commitment to APICS as we start a New Year. Once again, welcome to a New Year and see you at the PDM in September. Sincerely, |
