| "In the Shadow of Lions" at the Sedgwick County Zoo, Brian Maschino presented our chapter's 1999-2000 service awards. The "Company of the Year" award went to Access Group, LLC. Access Group has been a strong supporter of our chapter for several years. This year Access Group has supported our chapter financially by cosponsoring our APICS Chapter 71 web page along with Grant Thornton LLP who was last year's award winner (thank you GT!) and by providing the meeting room and supplies for our monthly Board of Directors meetings. Pat Gaughn, President of Access Group is an APICS member and has several CPIM's on his staff, including two who serve on our Board of Directors. In addition, Access Group supports the APICS body of knowledge by teaching "Basics of Supply Chain Management" as the first step in their ERP software implementation process with their clients. Thank you Access Group, for all of your support over the years! |
Our "Member of the Year" is Mac Barnett. Mac is another long time chapter supporter, having served in various positions on our Board of Directors over the years and volunteered his time in ways too numerous to count. This year Mac supported our chapter by not only making a presentation at a monthly professional development meeting, but by taking this presentation to the International Conference in New Orleans. Mac also teaches APICS courses. Thank you Mac, for all of your support this year and in years gone by! In a special presentation, Dan Hoobler received our "Voluntary Service Award." Dan has masterminded the chapter awards book for the past two years and provided guidance to our Board for many more years than that, while serving in various Board positions and teaching APICS classes. Thank you Dan, for all of your support over the years! |
