Options for APICS Training

Testing:
CPIM: New Fee (per exam) : APICS Members    $80.00
                                           Non members      $100.00

Dates, times, methods and locations of testing to be announced.

There are five modules:
.   Basics of Supply Chain Management
.   Master Planning of Resources
.   Detailed Scheduling and Planning
.   Execution and Control of Operations
.   Strategic Management of Resources

Student workbooks are $35 each, but will increase this fall. The "Basics" module requires an additional textbook, which costs $60. The textbook can be shared between students but not the workbooks.

Classes

APICS
  Options: 1.) Saturday APICS Sponsored Workshops: $100 per student (last year's rates), per module, includes books. Held two Saturdays, 8 hours each in Wichita. (Possibly out of town with enough interest). Can receive 1.5 hours of college credit per workshop if applied for as "life experience".

2.) Southwestern College: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. one evening a week for four weeks. Classes are held at 2040 South Rock Road, Wichita. Cost is $289.50 per module, plus books.   1.5 college credits earned per class.

Southwestern College Professional Studies Centers
is now enrolling for the following CPIM course:

            September 28-October 19, 2000
            "Master Planning of Resources" Chester James (CPIM), Instructor
            Thursdays 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. EAST LOCATION

3.) Mac Barnett, CFPIM, CPIM who is also an instructor for Southwestern College and has been an APICS instructor for 20+ years, will teach on-site classes. Four weeks for each module, four hours per week. Afternoon classes. 2 - 6 p.m. 3 - 7 p.m. or 4 - 8 p.m. No Saturdays. Limit of 20 students per class. Can receive college credits as "life experience".

4.) Access Group, CPIM instructors, on site. Suggested: four weeks for each module, four hours per week. Afternoon classes. 1-5 p.m. (Can do longer sessions or shorter sessions as per request)   No Saturdays.   Limit 10 per class. Can receive college credits as "life experience."

(Note: Classes are to be individualized / structured to fit the needs / business style of each company, including "how do I apply what I learned in class to my job when I leave today?")
