Southwestern College Professional Studies offers 1.5 semester college credit classes to teach the bodies of knowledge necessary for workplace success and APICS certification. Earned credits may be used as core course substitutions for the production management major or as electives in other degree programs. Additional courses will be scheduled as demand is indicated. A series of courses will be taught by practicing professionals in the field.
Southwestern College Professional Studies offers degree completion programs in ten areas: Business Quality Management, Business Administration, Computer Operations Technology, Computer Programming Technology, Criminal Justice, Human Resource Development, Manufacturing Technology, Production Management, Pastoral Studies BA, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Southwestern College also offers APICS, ASQ, and SME programs for certification process.
Evening and day classes are available with new weekday classes forming for second and third shift employees. Classes are six weeks in length and meet once per week. The current hours for evening classes are 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday with varied hours on Saturday. Tuesday daytime classes meet from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Southwestern College has three convenient locations located in East and West Wichita and Winfield, KS.
